The Curriculum

At Lorenden all form teachers are Primary specialists dedicated to developing an innovative, broad and balanced curriculum.

As well as English and Mathematics, the following subjects are taught:  Science, Information Technology, History, Geography, Art and Design, French, Current Affairs, Music, Religious and Physical Education.  Outings and visits are arranged to support topic areas.

Professionals are invited in to school to run art, drama and music workshops.  There is an annual residential holiday for Years 5 and 6.

Class violin tuition is timetabled for the Pre-Prep children and qualified musicians offer a range of extra instrumental lessons to all.

During their time here, pupils will visit museums, the theatre and a concert in London.  These visits teach appropriate behaviour in different social situations as well as broadening the children's horizons.
